Angela L. Harris is the Founder and CEO of Kokopelli Marketing & Consulting, a firm specializing in global marketing, sales, management, media production and consulting services and focused on providing high-quality services and customer satisfaction.

A renaissance woman is one who has broad intellectual interests and is accomplished in areas of both the arts and sciences. This is the cornerstone of the personal brand of Angela Harris. She began her career in media communications as a disc jockey at her college radio station, WMUC, while pursuing a degree in radio, television and film communications, at the University of Maryland. She later began working part-time as a production assistant at Valda Music, a commercial music production and publishing company specializing in Jazz, Rhythm & Blues and Pop music. Determined to learn the recording business from the ground-up, she moved into positions of increasing responsibility, gaining experience in a broad range of areas that spanned from copyright clearances to studio production. She eventually became a co-principal of the organization and took on the role of Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Valda Entertainment.

Angela also worked simultaneously building a successful career, launched in Metro New York, as an international sales & marketing professional at US Airways Group Inc. where she spent 10 years selling to senior level executives at Fortune 500 and Global 1,000 corporations worldwide prior to relocating back to the Washington, DC area and eventually filling the leadership role for the Diversity & Work/Life Balance program and serving as President of the Minority Professionals Association for two consecutive years. Her leadership and service earned her a Distinguished Leadership Award.

Upon leaving the airline industry, she accepted a one year expatriate position in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to complete a music production project for Essence Magazine. Upon returning to the U.S., she combined her passions for marketing and media communications working in leadership roles at Black Entertainment Television, Discovery Communications, Inc., XM Satellite Radio and The Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture.Throughout her career, she has traveled and conducted business in a host of international destinations including France, Spain, Brazil and the UK.

Angela discovered her love for teaching when she served as a professional lecturer teaching  Advertising and Public Relations courses in the Journalism Department at Howard University's School of Communication. Her appointment, which included a Green Teacher award for two consecutive years, led to her continuation in higher-education as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing and Business Communication at The George Washington University and Trinity University in Washington, DC. She teaches a variety of courses in the graduate, MBA and undergraduate programs including: Advertising, Media Planning & Buying, Social Media, Speechwriting and Business Communications.

In her personal life, Angela has volunteered and served along side legendary recording artists and media professionals such as Bonnie Raitt and the late CBS News correspondent Ed Bradley as a member of the Board of Directors of the R&B Foundation during 1993 – 2005. The organization is focused on preserving the legacy and providing financial assistance for R&B artists of the 1940’s – 1970’s. She has produced a nationally televised PSA advertisement, a feature documentary film entitled: Alpha Achievers Sankofa to Ghana West Africa; and a number of other digital media projects.
